Public Safety Representative (Part-Time) – 3rd Shift

The San Diego Convention Center (SDCC) is seeking dedicated Public Safety Representatives to join our team in a critical 3rd Shift capacity (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM). As a member of the Teamsters Union, you will play a vital role in securing 2.2 million square feet of premier waterfront facility space. This part-time role offers a base rate of $24.44 per hour, with an additional $1.00 per hour shift premium, bringing the effective rate to $25.44 for overnight hours.

In this position, you will conduct extensive patrols of the building and grounds to protect guests, employees, and property. Your responsibilities include monitoring life/safety alarm panels, managing access control for showrooms, and performing “move-in/move-out” logistics for major events. As a primary point of contact during emergencies, you will administer First Aid/CPR and act as a dispatch liaison for paramedics and police. Professionalism is paramount, as you will frequently greet and assist international clients while proactively identifying safety hazards or security risks.

The ideal candidate possesses a high school diploma or GED and at least two years of related experience, preferably within a large public assembly facility.
