The San Diego Marriott Gaslamp Quarter is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee the procurement and operational logistics of our luxury hotel. Located in the heart of San Diego, CA, this full-time role is central to maintaining the high standards of our Food & Beverage and general hotel operations. We offer a competitive base salary of $35.00 – $38.00 per hour, commensurate with your professional expertise.
As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of hotel inventory—from sourcing competitive bids and verifying the quality of perishable goods (including meat and fish weight verification) to managing the storeroom requisition process for our culinary and service teams. You will play a vital role in cost control through meticulous invoice coding, P&L reporting, and the enforcement of strict liquor control policies. A strong focus on food safety (FIFO) and maintaining organized, sanitary storage environments is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

Receiving and verifying all hotel deliveries (F&B and miscellaneous).

Maintaining organized, clean, and secure storerooms and coolers.

Sourcing competitive bids to optimize cost efficiency.

Enforcing liquor control policies (empty bottle exchange/locked storage).

Ensuring the proper operation and sanitation of the dish machine.
