Job Description
Are you a morning person with a passion for world-class landscapes? The Lake Louise Inn is looking for a Breakfast Server to help our guests start their mountain adventures on the right note. Nestled among majestic pines and panoramic views, our resort offers more than just a job—it offers a lifestyle. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love the idea of spending your afternoons hiking or skiing in a National Park, this is the perfect seasonal opportunity for you.
Your shift starts as the sun rises over the Rockies. You’ll be the “engine” of the morning, crafting barista-quality coffees, managing our vibrant breakfast buffet, and ensuring that every guest feels the “majestic” hospitality of Lake Louise. We value servers who are detail-oriented and organized—those who notice a coffee refill is needed before the guest has to ask. Whether you are working the dining floor or supporting a special banquet, your goal is to deliver a seamless, professional experience every time.
At Lake Louise Inn, we take care of our family. We provide furnished, subsidized housing so you can focus on your career and your adventures. With access to our on-site pools, fitness facilities, and significant food discounts, we ensure that your “play hard” time is just as rewarding as your “work hard” time. We are looking for energetic individuals who take initiative and are proud to be ambassadors of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
If you have a year of experience, your ProServe certification, and a drive to provide exceptional service, we want to meet you. Join us in Lake Louise and help us create unforgettable morning memories for travelers from around the globe.
The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge | Regional Connection
While the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is located in the heart of Jasper National Park, it maintains a significant presence in the Calgary business and recruitment landscape. As part of the Accor luxury portfolio, it is a flagship “Grand Railway Hotel” that serves as a major destination for Calgary residents and a key employer within the Alberta hospitality corridor.
Company Culture: The “Grand Adventure”
The culture at the Jasper Park Lodge is centered on the concept of “Authentic Hospitality” in a wilderness setting. It balances the high standards of a global luxury brand with the rugged, communal spirit of a mountain resort.
-
The Lodge Family: Because many employees live on-site in specialized staff accommodations, the culture is deeply communal. Staff often participate in shared outdoor activities, creating a tight-knit “mountain village” atmosphere.
-
Environmental Stewardship: Operating within a UNESCO World Heritage site, the culture prioritizes sustainability. Employees are trained in “Leave No Trace” principles and participate in active wildlife conservation and waste reduction programs.
-
Versatile Luxury: The service culture is designed to be “refined yet relaxed,” catering to high-profile guests (including royalty and heads of state) while maintaining the approachable warmth of a cabin retreat.
Location & Regional Context
The property is situated at 1 Old Lodge Road, Jasper, AB, approximately a 5-hour drive north of Calgary. Despite the distance, it is intrinsically linked to the Calgary region:
-
Calgary Recruitment Hub: Calgary serves as a primary source for the lodge’s workforce. The resort frequently hosts recruitment fairs in the city to hire for seasonal and permanent roles ranging from culinary experts to wilderness guides.
-
The Rocky Mountain Circuit: Along with the Fairmont Banff Springs and Chateau Lake Louise, the Jasper Park Lodge forms part of the “Grand Gallery” of Alberta tourism, with Calgary acting as the central international gateway for guests traveling between these iconic sites.
-
Heritage Setting: The “location” itself is a 700-acre spread of luxury cabins and cedar chalets wrapped around the shores of Lac Beauvert, offering a secluded alternative to the more urban luxury found in downtown Calgary.
