The Catering & Event Services Manager at Hotel Arts Group is a high-impact, revenue-driving role within Calgary’s premier boutique hospitality brand. Core Responsibilities

Business Development: Proactively solicit and generate new catering business opportunities within your assigned market.

Event Coordination: Collaborate with event planners to manage all logistics, including food and beverage menus, agendas, and setup details.

Negotiation: Lead client negotiations regarding menu planning, beverage requirements, and room rental specifics to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.

Documentation: Prepare and distribute accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and group resumes to ensure all departments are aligned.

Operational Liaison: Work closely with the culinary, banquet, and front office teams to ensure a seamless “Hotel Arts” experience for every group.

Vendor & Policy Management: Coordinate with outside vendors and strictly enforce Catering Agreements according to hotel policies.

Post-Event Engagement: Conduct thorough follow-ups with clients to secure repeat business and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
Candidate Requirements

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in hotel catering, meetings, or conference service roles is required.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in hotel sales platforms (specifically Opera) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Expertise: A comprehensive understanding of event setups, space functionalities, and high-end food and beverage operations.

Interpersonal Skills: Driven, enthusiastic, and capable of fostering productive relationships across all hotel departments.

Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to be present for key client events.
