Job Description

Does your calm temperament vibrate to the rhythm of the night? Germain Hotels is looking for a “night owl” who thrives in the quiet intensity of an overnight shift. As our Night Auditor in Calgary, you are far more than a bookkeeper; you are the nocturnal ambassador of our brand, providing a steady hand and a warm welcome while the rest of the city sleeps. In this role, we value your initiative and your ability to treat every guest interaction with an open and empathetic heart.

Your shift is a balance of precision and presence. You will dive into the day’s accounting, reconciling deposits and untangling chargebacks to ensure our financial records are flawless. Germain Hotels | Calgary, AB

Germain Hotels is a family-owned, Canadian-run pioneer in the boutique hospitality sector. Based in Montreal and operating across Canada, the group is celebrated for introducing the “no-set-checkout-time” concept and for its “made-in-Canada” philosophy. In Calgary, Germain Hotels operates two distinct properties—Le Germain Hotel Calgary and Alt Hotel Calgary East Village—which collectively cater to both high-end luxury travelers and the “creative class” seeking a more streamlined, modern experience.

Company Culture

The culture at Germain Hotels is defined by familial warmth, architectural design, and a commitment to Canadian craftsmanship. As a private, home-grown organization, the group avoids the rigid scripts of international chains.

  • Authentic Hospitality: The team is encouraged to provide “sincere and unpretentious” service, treating guests with the care of a family-run establishment rather than a corporate entity.

  • Support for Local: A core value is the promotion of Canadian talent; from the furniture in the lobby to the ingredients in the kitchen, the group prioritizes local partnerships.

  • Sustainability & Innovation: Germain was one of the first in Canada to implement geothermal heating (at its Calgary Alt property) and maintains a “Green Key” certification across its network, focusing on significant reductions in water and energy consumption.

Location: Calgary, AB

The group’s Calgary footprint is strategically split between the city’s historic business core and its most trendy new district.

Alt Hotel Calgary East Village

  • Situated at 635 Confluence Way SE, in the heart of the revitalized East Village.

  • This “no-frills-chic” property is steps away from the Central Library, National Music Centre, and the RiverWalk.
