• Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 gross per annum (DOE)

• Contract: Permanent, full-time (50 hours per week)

Role Summary

This position requires a dynamic individual who can seamlessly transition between proactive housekeeping and nurturing childcare. The household is supportive, with a hands-on mother who works part-time, meaning you will work in a mix of sole-charge and shared-care environments.

Following the arrival of the new baby in July, a maternity nurse will be present for the first three months. During this time, your core focus will remain on the toddler and maintaining the high standards of the household. As the newborn grows, your responsibilities will naturally expand to support both children. The ideal candidate is intuitive, calm under pressure, and capable of maintaining a smooth-running home while respecting the family’s privacy.

Core Responsibilities

• Childcare: Engaging with the 2-year-old through educational play, supporting developmental milestones, and managing daily routines (meal times, nap times, and outings).

• Housekeeping: Managing the day-to-day upkeep of the family home, including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and ensuring the house is organized and tidy.

• Collaborative Care: Transitioning between sole-charge care and supporting the mother during shared-care sessions.

• Travel: Accompanying the family on holiday during school terms, providing consistent childcare and support while away.

• Household Management: Proactively anticipating family needs and maintaining household supplies.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar Nanny/Housekeeper role within a private household.

• Qualifications/Compliance: Valid DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain), eligibility to work in the UK, and a valid passport for travel.

• Communication: Fluent in English to ensure clear communication with the family.

• Personal Attributes: A nurturing, proactive, and adaptable personality with a proven ability to manage time effectively.

• References: Must provide excellent, checkable professional references.
