Professional Job Summary

Home Made is a rapidly growing property technology (PropTech) startup on a mission to “fix renting for good.” They are seeking a proactive Viewing Agent to join their field sales team in Birmingham. This is a dynamic, mobile role that requires you to be the face of the company during property viewings. You will not only show properties but act as a lifestyle consultant, helping prospective renters find their ideal home. If you thrive on independence, possess strong sales instincts, and are committed to transparent, stress-free customer service, this is a high-growth opportunity to join a disruptive industry player.

Key Responsibilities

  • Field Sales & Viewings: Conduct daily property viewings for “Build to Rent” portfolios, acting as a consultant to help prospective renters make informed decisions.

  • Customer Lifecycle Management: Provide exceptional service from the initial introduction through to the final decision, ensuring the process is transparent and stress-free.

  • Neighborhood Expertise: Act as a local authority, highlighting not just property amenities, but the best local coffee shops, bars, parks, and lifestyle perks in the area.

  • Sales Pipeline: In quieter periods, engage in outbound calling and lead management. You can earn additional commission if you book a viewing, conduct it, and successfully secure the move-in.

  • Data & Collaboration: Record viewing data diligently for client reporting and partner closely with the Account Management and Operations teams to optimize property performance.

  • Cultural Advocacy: Represent Home Made’s values of integrity and professionalism during every interaction.

Required Skills & Characteristics

  • Sales Instincts: You embrace a customer-first mentality and are motivated by hitting and exceeding targets.

  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills—you are personable, professional, and able to quickly assess a customer’s needs.

  • Self-Starter: The ability to manage your own schedule, work remotely, and prioritize tasks effectively without constant supervision.

  • Organization: High-level planning skills to manage your daily travel across Birmingham and occasional long-distance travel to other major cities.

  • No Real Estate Experience Required: Home Made prioritizes attitude, sales ability, and customer service skills over prior property industry experience.

Why Join Home Made?

  • Financial Upside: An uncapped commission structure that rewards performance, pushing your earnings well beyond the basic salary (OTE £40k+).

  • Development: Rapid growth opportunities within a scaling PropTech startup.

  • Work-Life Balance: 24 days of holiday plus your birthday off!

  • Connected Culture: Quarterly trips to the London HQ for training and team building, plus summer and Christmas social events.

  • Perks: Access to employee discount programs for major retailers and cinemas.
