Randstad USA is a global leader in the HR services industry, specializing in connecting top-tier talent with world-class organizations. In the San Antonio market, Randstad serves as a primary partner for major government contractors and technology firms. Joining this team through Randstad provides a foot in the door at some of the most prestigious employers in Texas, offering a structured 6-month contract with a documented pathway toward permanent Full-Time Employment (FTE) based on performance and budgetary alignment.
Market & Industry Context
San Antonio is a primary hub for federal and military operations, creating a unique “Cyber City” ecosystem where government contracting and IT asset management overlap. In this environment, a Supplier Manager II is not just a coordinator—they are a compliance gatekeeper. Because government contracts are subject to strict audits and FAR regulations, the management of software licenses and hardware assets must be flawless. This role is essential for ensuring that the client remains compliant with federal laws while optimizing the costs associated with multi-million dollar technology portfolios.
Career Growth & Progression Path
-
Short-term: Mastering the specific GRPI modeling and ServiceNow workflows of the client to achieve high-performance metrics during the initial 6-month contract.
-
Mid-term: Conversion to a Full-Time Employee (FTE) or advancement to a Senior Supplier Manager role, overseeing more complex or classified vendor portfolios.
-
Long-term: Leadership tracks such as Director of Procurement, Chief Procurement Officer (CPO), or Government Program Manager, focusing on high-level strategy and federal policy alignment.

GRPI Modeling: Familiarize yourself with the GRPI framework. Be prepared to explain how you have used Goals, Roles, Processes, and Interpersonal dynamics to fix a failing vendor relationship.
-
FAR Knowledge: You may be asked how you ensure a vendor remains compliant with specific federal acquisition rules. Review your experience with “contractual dates” and “renewals” in a regulated environment.
-
Excel & ServiceNow Case Study: Expect a technical check. Can you describe how you use Excel to perform “cost and booking analysis” or how you manage a high volume of tickets within ServiceNow?
