Patient Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with physical impairments to develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
-
Therapeutic Intervention: Implement manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education to improve patient outcomes.
-
Outpatient Coordination: Manage a daily schedule of 8–12 patients (typical for outpatient settings), ensuring high-quality care while maintaining efficient clinic flow.
-
Electronic Documentation: Use Epic to document evaluations, daily notes, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with both facility and insurance standards.
-
Collaborative Care: Communicate effectively with referring physicians, orthopedic surgeons, and family members regarding patient progress and discharge planning.
Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a Physical Therapist is required.
-
Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (DPT preferred).
-
Licensure: Active Colorado Physical Therapy License (or eligibility for licensure via endorsement/Compact).

Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
Compensation & Financial Benefits
-
Weekly Pay: $1,777 – $2,007 (includes taxable wages and tax-free stipends for those who qualify).
-
Housing Options: Choose between paid company housing (pet-friendly) or a tax-free housing stipend if you prefer to find your own accommodations.
-
401(k) Plan: Access to a generous 401(k) match through Empower (eligibility typically begins after 120 days of continuous employment).
-
Reimbursements: Aya offers licensure, relocation, and scrub reimbursements where applicable.
Market & Industry Context: Physical Therapy in “Olympic City USA”
Colorado Springs, known as “Olympic City USA,” presents a unique environment for outpatient rehabilitation.
-
Active Population: The patient demographic is exceptionally active, ranging from elite athletes training at the Olympic Center to outdoor enthusiasts. Expect a high volume of sports-related injuries and “weekend warrior” orthopedic cases.
-
Epic AI Integration: In 2026, many outpatient facilities using Epic have integrated AI-assisted charting (like Epic’s “Art” assistant), which can reduce the time spent on end-of-shift notes by up to 85%.
-
Seasonal Demand: A May start date aligns with the beginning of Colorado’s peak hiking and outdoor season, typically seeing an uptick in acute injuries and elective surgery recoveries.
