Prestige IFA Jobs (On behalf of a leading Wealth Management firm) • Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Clean Professional Job Summary

This position offers a strategic opportunity for UK-qualified Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) to transition into Dubai’s high-growth wealth management sector. Representing one of the region’s premier regulated firms, the Financial Planning Consultant will provide sophisticated advisory services to expatriates and high-net-worth individuals.

The role is specifically designed for FCA-regulated professionals (holding DipPFS, CISI Level 4, or CFP credentials) who wish to leverage their UK expertise in a tax-efficient international market. The firm provides a robust support ecosystem, including full visa sponsorship and, in many cases, relocation assistance, allowing advisers to focus on high-level financial analysis and long-term client relationship development.

Key Responsibilities

The Financial Planning Consultant will drive the firm’s vision through technical analysis and relationship growth:

  • Financial Planning Analysis: Conduct deep-dive assessments of client portfolios, analyzing current positions against future financial objectives to provide tailored advice.

  • Relationship Development: Manage the end-to-end client lifecycle, from initial acquisition to ongoing portfolio reviews, ensuring long-term confidence and retention.

  • Client Engagement: Schedule and lead face-to-face and virtual meetings to capture evolving needs and adjust financial strategies accordingly.

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a dedicated Business Development Manager (BDM) or Paraplanner to optimize workflow and administrative efficiency.

  • New Business Acquisition: Actively pursue new client relationships within the expatriate and HNI communities in the UAE.

  • Compliance Adherence: Ensure all advice and documentation meet both internal standards and regional regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

The firm seeks high-caliber professionals with a “Clean” regulatory history:

  • UK-Specific Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma or equivalent in financial services (eg, CII DipPFS, CISI Level 4 , or CFP ) is mandatory.

  • Professional Experience: Minimum of three years of client-facing experience within wealth management, life insurance advisory, or an insurance intermediary practice.

  • Regulatory Record: A flawless record with no history of client dissatisfaction or regulatory sanctions.

  • Leadership Capability: Experience leading or working within a sales-driven team, with the ability to manage support staff.

  • Academic Foundation: An undergraduate degree in Economics, Financial Planning, or Investment Analysis is highly advantageous.

  • Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, dynamic, and capable of working independently in a performance-driven environment.

About the Company

The hiring entity is a leading, fully regulated Wealth Management firm based in Dubai. Known for its established presence and sophisticated consultancy approach, the firm has built its reputation on transparency and high-quality UK-standard advice. The Dubai office serves as a hub for regional expansion, offering a professional, high-performance culture where advisers are supported by an internal team of Paraplanners and administrative specialists.

Market & Industry Context: The Dubai Wealth Hub

Dubai has evolved into a global center for wealth, attracting thousands of British expatriates and international investors. In 2026, the UAE market is heavily focused on Cross-Border Compliance and the optimization of UK Pension Transfers (QROPS/SIPPs) . This role matters because the Dubai expatriate community increasingly demands the same level of rigorous, FCA-standard advice they would receive in London. For a UK adviser, this represents an opportunity to work in a market with significant capital inflows and a favorable tax regime, while maintaining international professional standards.

Career Growth & Progression Path

A consultancy role in this firm offers significant upward mobility:

  • Senior Financial Consultant: Managing a larger, high-value client book and taking on broader mentoring responsibilities for junior advisers.

  • Regional Director: Transitioning into a leadership role overseeing the consultancy team’s output and regional strategy.

  • Portfolio Manager: Moving into a more technical, investment-focused role managing the firm’s discretionary portfolios.

  • Global Wealth Partner: Utilizing international experience to consult for the firm’s global offices in other major financial hubs.

Interview Preparation Insights

Expect the interview process to focus on technical proficiency and commercial logic:

  • Transferable Knowledge: Be prepared to discuss how your UK regulatory knowledge applies to expatriates (eg, handling IHT issues for UK domiciles living abroad).

  • Pipeline Management: How do you intend to build a client base in a new territory? Be ready to share a 30-60-90 day business plan.

  • Team Synergy: Discuss how you effectively delegate to a Paraplanner to ensure you remain focused on client-facing revenue-generating activities.

  • Ethical Advisory: Provide examples of complex cases where you had to prioritize long-term client suitability over short-term sales targets.

Estimated Salary Insight

Market Estimate Based on Similar Roles: AED 40,000 – AED 80,000 per month (Equivalent, primarily through high-commission structures and performance bonuses). Note: In Dubai, Wealth Management roles are typically performance-driven. Top-tier firms often provide a transition allowance or a small base salary initially, but the total package is highly leveraged on AUM (Assets Under Management) growth and advisory fees. Full visa sponsorship and relocation guidance are standard for this level of hire.

Work Environment & Location Insights

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: You will be based in one of the city’s premier financial districts (such as DIFC or Downtown Dubai ). The environment is fast-paced, international, and high-energy. Professionally, the UAE offers a multicultural landscape where networking often extends into social and community events. While the firm provides an established office, a significant portion of the role involves in-person client meetings across the city.

Short Compliance & Equal Opportunity Note

The firm is an equal opportunity employer that values professional integrity and diversity. All candidates must meet the minimum Level 4 qualification requirements and pass a rigorous background check to ensure compliance with UAE regulatory standards.
