The Role: Hospitality & Precision

As a Blank Street Barista, you are the face of our “customer-centric” mission. You will work within a world-class coffee program, using industry-leading equipment to prepare the tastiest drinks with speed and precision.

What You’ll Own:

Customer Delight: Turn every guest into a regular with consistent, welcoming, and engaging service.
Beverage Mastery: Prepare high-quality coffee, matcha, and seasonal beverages using our brand training playbooks.
Operational Excellence: Maintain Local Department of Health standards at all times and follow systems to minimize food and beverage wastage.
Growth & Profitability: Participate in marketing and operations initiatives to increase daily sales and develop a loyal customer base.
Knowledge: Complete comprehensive training to ensure food and beverage freshness and quality are never compromised.

Compensation & Perks

Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour + tips.
Training: Access to a comprehensive Barista accreditation program.
Financial & Transit: Commuter benefits and 1.5x pay on select holidays (e.g., New Year’s Day, Juneteenth).
Time Off: Tenure-based Paid Time Off (PTO) and sick time.

Who We’re Looking For

We want friendly, enthusiastic team players who thrive in fast-paced environments and take pride in their craft.

Qualifications:

Experience: 1+ years in a customer service position (hospitality or specialty coffee preferred).
Age: Must be 18+ years of age.
Problem Solvers: Strong independent thinkers with proven multitasking and communication skills.
Physicality: Able to lift 25+ lbs and stand for long periods of time.
Compliance: Authorized to work in the U.S. (Blank Street is an E-Verify employer).

Availability Requirements

Our cafes require team members who are available during our most vibrant “peak” times.

Full-Time: 30–40 hours per week (4–5 days). Must be available for 2 peak days (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
Part-Time: 15–25 hours per week (3 days). Must be available for 2 peak days (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
Holidays: Weekend and holiday availability is strongly preferred.
