Job Duties

Floor Service Coordination: Lead and coordinate all service aspects for your assigned station to deliver a refined and seamless dining experience at Moss.

Menu & Beverage Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of all menus, daily specials, and wine-by-the-glass offerings, providing confident pairing recommendations to members.

Guest Engagement: Warmly greet guests and provide attentive, professional service by anticipating needs, recognizing regulars, and accommodating special preferences.

Order Management: Efficiently take food and beverage orders following established steps of service, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

Kitchen Communication: Communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and all dietary restrictions or allergens are strictly managed.

Service Flow Support: Assist the management team in maintaining a smooth service flow through active upselling and proactive station management.

Sanitation & Safety: Uphold high standards of cleanliness and safety, including the use of cut gloves and oven mitts, while adhering to all food handling protocols.

Financial Accountability: Follow proper cash-handling procedures and collect tickets accurately at the conclusion of service.

Problem Resolution: Promptly address guest complaints or service issues with patience and professionalism, relaying critical information to supervisors.

Environment Maintenance: Ensure the dining room is properly set up before service and broken down afterward, keeping the area neat and meeting sanitation standards.

Equipment Operation: Safely operate a variety of equipment, including POS systems, coffee machines, and soda dispensers.
Requirements

Experience: 3–5 years of high-end server experience is required to meet the standards of a private members’ club.

Communication: Exceptional verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain a calm, patient demeanor under pressure.

Teamwork: A collaborative mindset with a proven ability to get along well with a diverse group of culinary and service professionals.

Physical & Safety Adherence: Ability to use personal protective equipment (cut gloves, slip-resistant shoes) and perform proper lifting techniques.

Confidentiality: High level of sensitivity regarding personal or medical information shared by guests in a private club setting.

Flexibility: Open availability is preferred, with the ability to work varying hours across breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner shifts.
Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with POS systems and basic math for cash handling.

Industry Knowledge: Understanding of specialized diets, common allergens, and refined steps of service.
