Floor Security Assistant – NYC (East Village)

Job Duties

• Maintain a strong and consistent presence on the sales floor to ensure a safe environment for all customers and staff.

• Provide unarmed floor surveillance to identify and prevent potential inventory loss.

• Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting visitors and assisting with inquiries to foster a welcoming atmosphere.

• Monitor the buy, sell, and trade areas to support secure business transactions.

• Keep the sales floor clean, tidy, and organized during high-traffic periods.

• Execute special projects as assigned by the management team to improve store operations.

• Collaborate with the retail team to communicate security concerns or suspicious activity effectively.

• Multitask between safety observations and general floor maintenance in a high-energy setting.

Requirements

• Provide professional unarmed surveillance in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Demonstrate a strong attention to detail to identify subtle security risks or environmental hazards.

• Work effectively as a “people person” within a diverse team and customer base.

• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously without compromising the safety of the store.

• Maintain high productivity levels throughout a non-traditional retail schedule.

• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to de-escalate potential issues.

• Adapt quickly to a high-energy workplace where daily responsibilities may shift.

Qualifications

• Possess previous experience in loss prevention or security-related roles (preferred).

• Demonstrate a proven track record of providing high-quality customer service.

• Show the ability to work on your feet for extended periods in a busy retail setting.
