Job Duties

Coordinate all floor service to deliver a refined and professional dining experience within a private members’ club.

Greet guests warmly and promptly, following established steps of service for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or brunch.

Maintain thorough knowledge of all menus, daily specials, and wine lists to provide expert pairing recommendations.

Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate special requests or dietary restrictions to back-of-house staff.

Deliver food and drinks promptly while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Recognize regular members and anticipate guest needs to provide high-touch, personalized hospitality.

Upsell food and beverage offerings to enhance the guest experience and support revenue goals.

Manage assigned stations by ensuring cleanliness, accurate table settings, and smooth communication with teammates.

Address guest complaints or issues immediately and relay relevant feedback to the management team.

Operate service equipment including coffee machines, soda systems, and soup wells while maintaining a safe work environment.

Perform side work duties including dining room setup and breakdown before and after service periods.

Follow proper cash-handling procedures and maintain confidentiality regarding member information.
Requirements

Demonstrate 3–5 years of high-volume or fine-dining server experience.

Maintain open availability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Apply deep knowledge of specialized diets, allergens, and ingredients to assist guests with menu selections.

Exhibit exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Exercise patience and flexibility when resolving complex guest requests or complaints.

Adhere to company safety policies, including the use of slip-resistant shoes and protective equipment.

Manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a professional and composed demeanor.
Qualifications

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Hold relevant food handling or alcohol service certifications as required by New York City regulations.

Demonstrate a proven track record of success in upscale hospitality or private club environments.
