Job Duties


  • Deliver high-quality instruction in Marketing Communications courses, including subjects such as advertising, public relations, digital strategy, and brand management.

  • Develop and update course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials to reflect current industry trends and academic standards.

  • Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and practical exercises that bridge the gap between marketing theory and real-world application.

     

  • Evaluate student performance through the timely grading of assignments, examinations, and group projects.

     

  • Provide constructive feedback and academic mentorship to students to support their professional development in the marketing field.

  • Maintain regular office hours (in-person or virtual) to assist students with course-related inquiries.

     

  • Integrate modern marketing tools and platforms into the curriculum to ensure students are prepared for the digital workforce.

  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Marketing Communications program.

     

  • Stay current with pedagogical best practices and innovations in higher education.

  • Ensure all grading and attendance records are maintained accurately within the institution’s Learning Management System (LMS).


Requirements


  • Hold a Master’s degree or PhD in Marketing, Communications, or a closely related field.

     

  • Demonstrate significant professional experience in the Marketing Communications industry, preferably in a leadership or specialized role.

  • Show a strong aptitude for teaching, with prior experience in higher education or professional corporate training highly preferred.

  • Exhibit deep knowledge of current marketing technologies, social media landscapes, and consumer behavior analytics.

  • Possess excellent public speaking and presentation skills to effectively engage a diverse student body.

  • Manage administrative academic responsibilities independently while adhering to the institutional calendar.

  • Display a commitment to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.

  • Work effectively as a part-time faculty member within the New York, NY campus community.

  • Maintain a professional network within the New York marketing industry to provide students with relevant insights.

  • Adapt instructional methods to various formats, including in-person, hybrid, or fully online delivery.
