Your Role: Supporting the Final Farewell

This position is a blend of administrative precision and hands-on event coordination. You are essential to the seamless flow of funeral and cremation operations.

  • Service Coordination: Delivering and arranging flowers, setting up chairs, and organizing photos, urns, and personal mementos to create a personalized atmosphere.

  • Operational Support: Assisting with the respectful preparation of remains (lifting, dressing, or crematory operations where permitted) and preparing legal documentation.

  • Guest Relations: Welcoming the public, answering questions about cremation and burial options, and providing courteous phone support.

  • Logistics & Transport: Driving company vehicles for services, picking up families, and running essential errands to ensure everything is in place.

  • Facility Care: Maintaining the presentation of the chapel and visitation rooms, ensuring refreshments are ready, and keeping funeral vehicles spotless.


What You Bring to the Team

  • Integrity: A high level of compassion and the ability to maintain professional behaviors in sensitive environments.

  • Technical Skill: Proficiency with MS Office and a willingness to learn our specialized lead-management and database systems.

  • Reliability: A valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Flexibility: Attendance at monthly meetings and a “team-player” attitude for various tasks.

Standard Funeral Service Workflow

A successful service requires a specific sequence of actions to ensure the family’s needs are met without interruption.

  1. Preparation Phase: Setting up the chapel or gravesite, ensuring all floral arrangements and family keepsakes are placed exactly as requested.

  2. Reception Phase: Greeting guests, directing traffic/parking, and providing information to attendees.

  3. The Service: Assisting the Funeral Director, managing the stereo/video systems, and accommodating family requests in real-time.

  4. Conclusion: Safely transporting family members, ensuring all personal items are returned, and resetting the facility for the next ceremony.
