Role Summary: Corporate Counsel, AWS Products (Engine Legal)

Amazon’s Legal Department is seeking a sharp, tech-forward attorney to support the Engine organization—the technical backbone that keeps Amazon running 24/7. In this role, you’ll be a key member of the AWS Products Legal team, specifically focusing on Enterprise Engineering and Tech Sourcing & Infrastructure. You will act as a primary legal strategist for the internal tools and services used by hundreds of thousands of Amazonians globally, including cutting-edge generative AI tools. From negotiating high-stakes technology deals to advising on complex data rights and privacy issues, you will provide the legal framework that allows Amazon’s massive internal infrastructure to innovate at scale.

Key Requirements & Skills

• 5+ years of legal experience

• Juris Doctor (JD) and membership in at least one state bar (or equivalent)

• Experience with IP licensing or technology transactions

• Experience in product counseling related to data privacy, cloud computing, or enterprise software systems

• Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work

• Experience working cross-functionally across several teams

• Experience effectively communicating complex concepts through written and verbal communication

• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
