Because we serve a diverse community across multiple locations, this role requires reliable transportation for travel to our local satellite offices and the flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced clinical flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Insurance Coordination: Manage the end-to-end process for insurance verifications, referrals, and prior authorizations across multiple providers.

  • Problem Solving: Proactively troubleshoot insurance claim issues to minimize billing delays and patient stress.

  • Patient Logistics: Schedule appointments and manage multi-line telephones with professionalism and a friendly demeanor.

  • Digital Records: Navigate an nearly 100% electronic office, including scanning, uploading, and transferring documents within our EMR system.

  • Office Operations: Handle filing, faxing, and miscellaneous front-desk tasks while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Insurance Expertise: Solid knowledge of various insurance types and the specific requirements for retina-specialty referrals.

  • Tech Savviness: High computer proficiency with the ability to learn and switch between multiple software applications efficiently.

  • Professionalism: Excellent communication skills and the ability to exhibit patience and compassion toward patients dealing with vision loss.

  • Adaptability: Must have reliable transportation for daily travel to local satellite offices and a flexible schedule.

  • Preferred: Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Spanish-speaking skills are significant pluses.

Why Join the Retina Group of Florida?

  • Growth Potential: We prioritize individuals who are eager to learn and offer opportunities to advance within our growing practice.

  • Comprehensive Benefits: Excellent benefits package available following the successful completion of the probationary period.

  • Competitive Pay: Salary is commensurate with your specific experience in the medical field.

  • Team Culture: Join a collaborative environment where your ability to prioritize and work as a team member is truly valued.
